Baghdad International Airport (IATA: SDA, ICAO: ORBI) (Arabic: ???? ????? ???????); , BIAP is Iraq's largest airport, located in a suburb about 16 km (10 miles) west of downtown Baghdad in the Baghdad Governorate.

Originally constructed as "Saddam International Airport " with the assistance of French firms between 1979 and 1982 at a cost of over US$900 million.

After the invasion of Baghdad and its fall in 2003, Saddam International Airport was renamed Baghdad International Airport (although the airport code SDA remains). BIAP was turned over to the Iraqis in 2004.
